Caw Caw

An illustration about being out of the loop on the social networking.

Blue and Yellow Girl

Just goofing around in Photoshop.

Self Portrait with Unicorns and Lightning Bolts

This started off as a pretty normal self portrait until I decided it needed some unicorns and lightning bolts.

Mr. Darcy, vampire, part 2

Another quick image for my own entertainment. The idea of Mr. Darcy as a vampire has proved most diverting. Jane's arm from shoulder to elbow is really abnormally short, but I don't want to bother to fix it now.

"Pray tell, my dear Lizzy, what are these strange marks upon your neck?"

"Jane, I know not, but I must confess that I have been feeling a bit unwell since my marriage to Mr. Darcy."

Mr. Darcy, Vampire

Just something I did for fun.

Recent Project - Trabant Coffee and Chai

A recent pair of illustrations for Trabant Coffee - they wanted some coffee-themed monster images.

Jane Austen's Revenge: A Comic

A comic inspired by the recent Jane Austen Paranormal trend (Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monters, Jane Bites Back, The Immortal Jane Austen, Mr. Darcy, Vampyre, Mr. Darcy's Hunger... yes, these are all actual published books...).

This is Jane's revenge for taking such liberties with her work.

Floral Card

There's quite a plethora of birthdays at this time of year, apparently. Here's a floral themed card that I whipped up this morning.

Bastille Day Birthday

Today is Bastille Day, but more importantly, it is the birthday of two people I know. I made this birthday card for one of them.

Thank you card

Our baby just turned one. Here's a Thank You card I made for his one year birthday. Better go write those thank you notes now.

Pride and Prejudice the Comic Book, Page 23 - 27

Pride and Prejudice the Comic, Page 23, originally uploaded by ArtGhost.

I finally posted another chapter of the Pride and Prejudice Comic Book over at Flickr. I apologize for not replacing the text with more legible text in the rest of the pages, but if you look at the image and click "all sizes," you can access the larger and much easier to read size.

Here's the link to all the pages I have done so far: http://www.flickr.com/photos/artghost/sets/72157594246119693/

Meanwhile, Marvel has beaten me to it, and has published their own Pride and Prejudice, which is not surprising given the fact that it's taken me about 9 years to get through approximately a quarter of the book. You can read the first issue of the Marvel comic for free here: http://marvel.com/digitalcomics/titles/PRIDE_%26_PREJUDICE.2009.1

Feed Your Soul - Free Art Project

Jen Wallace of Indie Fixx started a new project, Feed Your Soul. It's a site where you can download and print art for free!

I contributed the image below. It's Persephone - sort of a celebration of the arrival of Spring. You can go to the Feed Your Soul site to download a high resolution PDF of the image.

Tosa and Lix, Number 5, "Monkey Business"

I discovered a forgotten episode of the hit comic, "Tosa and Lix" on my computer. Their wacky adventures continue in "Monkey Business."

Indie Fixx Galleria - Spring

Here's my latest completed project: an image for the Indie Fixx Galleria, this time updated for Spring:

Happy Valentine's Day!

Forgotten promo piece

Here's an image that I was working on for a promotional piece that I had forgotten about. Actually, I still like it, and I'll probably end up finishing it off and using it... one of these days.

Indie Fixx Galleria illustration

I'm back at work, and ArtGhost is back up!
Here's an illustration I did for the holidays for Indie Fixx Galleria.

And here's some of my rough drawings for the project:

Taking a break...

If you are wondering why I haven't made any blog posts for months, well, it's because I'm pregnant and haven't had much time to devote to the blog. We will be having a baby next week, so we'll be taking a break for the summer. I hope to be back in the fall, but, we'll see what happens...

Recent Project: Dating Pool

I recently completed an album cover for The Dating Pool, a local Seattle band.
