Girl Scout Paintings at Nancy

Three girl scout paintings are now up at Nancy, a new store down on 2nd Avenue in Seattle. It's right next to the Moore Theater.

On a completely unrelated note, my sister just gave birth to her second child three hours ago! It's a girl! She is reported to be "cute" and "small."

Pride and Prejudice on Flickr

For all of you many, many fans of the Pride and Prejudice comic book (or, the two of you who read it), I'm posting it over at Flickr to make it easier to see it. Only the first couple of chapters are on there now, but it will be all in one place instead of scattered all over this blog. Eventually I'll get more up...

Pirates are everywhere these days.

Instruments

I just finished this illustration of musical instruments last night. I'm not sure if I like it. It kind of looks a little too much like the cover of my orchestra music book from middle school.instruments illustration

Toronto Drawings

I just returned from a week-long trip to Toronto last night. It's a great city. It feels like a small city, despite it's actual size. It has some great neighborhoods, is very ethnically diverse, and we had great weather while we were there. I have to remember, however, that it does get down to -40 during the winter. I'm cold in Seattle all the time, so I don't think I'd be able to survive in Toronto.

Back from vacation!

We spent two weeks in Italy - in Rome, Florence, and Vernazza (in the Cinque Terre), and now are back and recovering from jetlag. Here's a few drawings I did, mostly in Vernazza, where we had the most time to sit and draw.

Show at Essential Baking Cafe

We just put up a show at the Essential Baking Cafe in Wallingford/Fremont:

Essential Cafe Wallingford (The Essential Bakery Cafe)
1604 North 34th St
Seattle, WA 98103

It will be up through August. Go see it if you are in the area. Another reason to go is the bakery's amazing cinnamon rolls. Seriously, the best cinnamon rolls I have ever had. They have lots of yummy, yummy food there!
