With Black Friday fast approaching (the day after Thanksgiving), I wanted to post about the new I Shop Indie Gift Guide!
Instead of the rampant consumerism that characterizes Black Friday, consider buying handmade this holiday season. The I Shop Indie gift guide has gift suggestions for Guys, Girls, Mom and Dad, Coworkers, and more!

Spam is weird
Not spam the food product, but spam the email, although spam the food product is equally weird.
But, here's something I've never seen before: Pride and Prejudice spam! I just got this in my email. Of course there was some mysterious attachment. This is the text of the email, in which there are vaguely recognizable phrases from P&P, all jumbled up in a totally incoherent manner. Is this just to make it past spam filters? But then, I ask you, why would I be compelled to open a strange attachment associated with this email? The answer is, I won't, which is why I am boggled as to the efficacy of such a bizarre spam scheme. At least I enjoyed reading this spam message. It's like a puzzle - spot where this sentence comes from in the book!

Pride and Prejudice on Flickr
For all of you many, many fans of the Pride and Prejudice comic book (or, the two of you who read it), I'm posting it over at Flickr to make it easier to see it. Only the first couple of chapters are on there now, but it will be all in one place instead of scattered all over this blog. Eventually I'll get more up...

Toronto Drawings
I just returned from a week-long trip to Toronto last night. It's a great city. It feels like a small city, despite it's actual size. It has some great neighborhoods, is very ethnically diverse, and we had great weather while we were there. I have to remember, however, that it does get down to -40 during the winter. I'm cold in Seattle all the time, so I don't think I'd be able to survive in Toronto.

Back from vacation!
We spent two weeks in Italy - in Rome, Florence, and Vernazza (in the Cinque Terre), and now are back and recovering from jetlag. Here's a few drawings I did, mostly in Vernazza, where we had the most time to sit and draw.

It will be up through August. Go see it if you are in the area. Another reason to go is the bakery's amazing cinnamon rolls. Seriously, the best cinnamon rolls I have ever had. They have lots of yummy, yummy food there!
